AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- We're following the latest coronavirus updates from across Central Texas, for July 26:

Travis County: 79 new cases were reported Sunday, pushing the total number of cases to 19,480 with 241 deaths. An estimated 16,658 cases have recovered, leaving 2,581 active cases - a decrease of 78 from Saturday.


396 patients are hospitalized across the five county metro area - a decrease of 13 from Saturday - with 145 patients in intensive care and 101 on ventilators.

32 new admissions were reported Sunday, with the 7-day moving average of new admissions now down to 48.7.

Williamson County: 58 new cases and 2 new deaths were reported Sunday, bringing the total number of cases to 5,304 with 94 deaths. 4,567 cases are recovered, with 643 active cases - a decrease of 211 from Saturday.

Hays County: Hays County is no longer reporting case data on weekends. As of Friday, there were a total of 4,133 confirmed cases, 24 deaths, and 2,977 active cases.

Bastrop County: No new data was reported Sunday by DSHS, leaving Bastrop's total number of cases at 1,190. 646 cases have recovered, with 12 deaths, leaving 532 active cases - a decrease of 29 from Saturday.

Caldwell County: 4 new cases were reported Sunday by DSHS, pushing the total number of cases to 997. 567 cases have recovered, with 7 deaths, leaving 423 active cases - a decrease of 39 from Saturday.

State of Texas: 5,810 new cases were reported statewide Sunday, bringing the total number of cases to 381,656. 153 new deaths were reported Sunday, pushing the fatality count above the 5,000 mark to 5,038. Hospitalization data continues to be incomplete, with 85 percent of hospitals reporting complete data Sunday. That incomplete data shows a total of 10,075 Texans hospitalized across the state.
