COVID-19 By The Numbers, June 12: 3 new Travis County deaths, 76 new cases

AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Here are the latest coronavirus updates from local health officials across Central Texas, for June 12:

Travis County: 3 new deaths were reported Friday, bringing the total number to 104. New cases dropped back into the double digits, with 76 newly confirmed cases bringing the total to 4,314. 3,380 of those are believed to be recovered. Across the five county metro area, 134 patients are hospitalized, with 49 in intensive care and 27 on ventilators. 29 new patients were admitted today, with the 7-day moving average of new hospitalizations now at 17.1.


Williamson County: 33 new cases were reported Friday, pushing the total number to 820. 553 of those have recovered, an increase of 9 from Thursday. 12 patients are hospitalized, with 7 in intensive care and 3 on a ventilator.

Hays County: 99 new cases were reported Friday, pushing the Hays County total to 673. 266 of those are recovered and 402 are active. 14 patients are hospitalized.

Bastrop County: 5 more cases were added Friday, for a total of 282 cases.

State of Texas: 2,097 new cases were added to the state's total on Friday, bringing the total to 83,680. 19 new deaths were also reported, for a total of 1,939. 158 new hospitalizations were reported across the state, pushing the total to 2,166 - a new all-time high.
