AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- We're continuing to follow the latest coronavirus updates from local health officials across Central Texas. Here's the latest for June 13:
Travis County: No new deaths were reported Saturday, but 147 new cases pushes the total of confirmed cases to 4,461. Nearly 18 percent of the county's total cases have been reported in the last week. 3,425 cases are estimated to be recovered. Across the five county metro area, 111 patients are hospitalized, with 48 in intensive care and 24 on ventilators. 15 new patients were admitted into hospitals Saturday, with the 7-day moving average of new hospitalizations now at 18.
Williamson County: 42 new cases were reported Saturday, pushing the total number to 862. 568 of those have recovered, an increae of 15 from Friday. 11 patients are hospitalized, with 7 in intensive care and 4 on a ventilator.
Hays County: 142 new cases were reported Saturday, according to a release from local officials. That brings the total number of cases to 815. Because of the volume of cases, officials are still working to gather specific details about the new cases. 2 new hospitalizations were reported, for a total of 16.
Bastrop County: 4 new cases were reported Saturday, for a total of 286 cases.
State of Texas: 2,331 new cases were reported across the state Saturday, bringing the total to 86,011. 18 new deaths were reported, bringing the total to 1,957. Across the state, there are 2,242 patients hospitalized - an increase of 76 from Friday's report and another all-time high.
