AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- We're continuing to follow the latest coronavirus updates from local health officials across Central Texas. Here's the latest for June 14:
Travis County: Austin Public Health says the 7-day moving average of new hospitalizations has crossed into "Stage 4" of the risk-based guidelines, sitting at 20.6. Officials have said keeping that average below 20 will prevent area hospitals from becoming overrun. 84 new cases were reported Sunday, pushing the total number of confirmed cases to 4,545. 3,456 of those are considered to be recovered. Across the five county metro area, 129 patients are hospitalized, an increase of 18 from Saturday, with 52 in intensive care and 29 on ventilators. A total of 30 new patients were admitted into area hospitals Sunday.
Williamson County: Another 42 new cases were reported Sunday, pushing the total number of cases to 904. 577 of those are considered to be recovered. WilCo-specific hospitalizations remain the same, with 11 patients hospitalized, 7 in intensive care, and 4 on a ventilator.
Hays County: 54 new cases were reported Sunday, according to Hays County's COVID-19 dashboard. That brings the total number of cases to 869, 598 of which are considered active.
Bastrop County: No new data was reported Sunday.
State of Texas: 1,843 new cases were reported on Sunday from across the state, with the total now at 87,854. 19 new deaths reported Sunday brings the total number of fatalities to 1,976. Hospitalizations continue to grow across the state, with 2,287 patients hospitalized statewide - an increase of 45 from Saturday.
