AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- We're continuing to follow the latest coronavirus updates from local health officials across Central Texas. Here's the latest for June 21:
Travis County: Another new single-day record of cases was reported Sunday, with 506 new cases pushing the total number of confirmed cases to 6,210. Another new death was also reported, for a total of 110. 4,140 cases are estimated to be recovered, leaving 1,960 active cases. A total of 174 patients are hospitalized across the five county metro area, an increase of two from Saturday, with 84 patients in intensive care and 31 on ventilators. 10 new admissions were reported on Sunday, with the 7-day moving average of new hospitalizations dropping to 25.7.
In just the past seven days, Travis County has added more than 1,600 new cases of COVID-19 - more than 25 percent of the total reported cases.
Williamson County: 100 new cases reported Sunday brings the total number of confirmed cases in WilCo to 1,337. 672 of those are considered to be recovered, leaving 625 active with 32 deaths. 15 patients are hospitalized - the same as Saturday - with 10 patients in intensive care and 3 on a ventilator.
Hays County: 103 new cases were reported on Sunday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 1,711. 389 are recovered, with 1,317 active cases and 5 fatalities. 13 patients are currently hospitalized, an increase of 1 from Saturday.
Bastrop County: No new data was made available by county officials on Sunday. As of the last update, there were 333 confirmed cases, 121 recoveries, and 4 deaths.
Caldwell County: 8 new cases were reported Sunday by DSHS in Caldwell County, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 216 cases with 165 active cases and 1 death.
State of Texas: 3,866 new cases were reported on Sunday from across the state, pushing the total to 111,601. 17 new deaths brings the total number of fatalities to 2,182. Another 162 patients were hospitalized across the state, with the total number currently hospitalized at 3,409.
