AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- State officials say they've made an arrest in connection with vandalism of the Texas State Capitol during protests last month, and are searching for others who assaulted state troopers.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says 23-year old Keegan Dalton Godsey of Austin has been arrested and charged with felony criminal mischief, riot, and interference with public duties. He was booked into the Travis County Jail on Tuesday. Godsey's arrest comes after reviewing hundreds of hours of videos from various media platforms, surveillance camera footage, law enforcement databases and open source information.
During the protests on May 30, officials say a number of protestors intentionally damaged the historic Texas State Capitol building, monuments and fixtures, as well as DPS patrol vehicles. Several DPS Troopers were also injured during the riot.

DPS is working with Capital Area Crime Stoppers to locate several individuals who were captured on video surveillance and in the photos above during an active assault against troopers during the same May 30 protest, at approximately 3:30 p.m. that afternoon. Anyone with information about this specific event or those involved is urged to contact Capital Area Crime Stoppers at 512-472-TIPS or online at www.austincrimestoppers.org.
