WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- Williamson County and state officials will offer free COVID-19 walk-up testing this week in Georgetown.
Testing will be conducted daily from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Georgetown Community Center at 445 East Morrow Street in Georgetown, beginning Tuesday and lasting through Thursday.
The testing is being offered by the Williamson County Office of Emergency Management, in partnership with the Texas Division of Emergency Management and the City of Georgetown.
The testing is a walk-up site and will not require an appointment. You do not have to be a resident of Williamson County to receive a test. Those interested in getting tested will be asked to park and line up for their turn. It is important to note that this is a cheek swab test, so people cannot eat, drink or use tobacco products 20 minutes prior to the test.
Registration will be handled on-site; organizers ask that you bring a cell phone to assist with the registration process. Also, bring a form of shade to protect from the sun while waiting in line, such as a hat or umbrella.
