AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- A break in the heat is on its way, after one more day of hot and steamy weather ahead of a series of rain chances for the Austin area.
A Heat Advisory continues until 8pm tonight for points along and east of Interstate 35...
Highs will likely reach to near 100 once again Tuesday, although a slight chance for scattered showers and storms could keep temperatures lower. The Hill Country has the best chance of seeing any scattered showers this afternoon and evening. Increased humidity will keep heat index values high, above 108 degrees in the peak of the afternoon.
Our best chance for showers and storms begins after midnight, with lows in the mid 70s.
