Investigators in Rachel Cooke case seeking followup on July tip

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- Cold case investigators in Williamson County are looking to follow up on a July tip in the disappearance of Rachel Cooke.

Officials say they have questions for the person who submitted the tip, and are asking that person to call the WCSO Cold Case Unit at 512-943-5204 or the FBI at 800-225-5324.

Cooke, who was 19 years old when she disappeared in January 2002, was last seen while on a run near her parents' home in Georgetown. She was last seen walking towards her residence from approximately 200 yards away. She was wearing a gray running outfit, green sports bra, Asics running shoes and a yellow Walkman with sports-style headphones.

The FBI and Williamson County Sheriff have a combined $100,000 reward for information leading to Cooke's location. Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact authorities.
