Kyle enters Stage 1 water conservation rules

KYLE, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- The City of Kyle is entering Stage 1 water conservation rules, city officials announced Tuesday.

Under Stage 1, residents can water or irrigate their lawns:

  • By handheld hose with shutoff nozzle or bucket any time during the day or night
  • By a hose and sprinkler, soaker hose or drip irrigation from midnight to 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. to midnight on designated outdoor water use days
  • By permanently installed automatic irrigation system from midnight to 10 a.m. on designated outdoor water use days

Residents can only wash automobiles, trucks, trailers, boats or other vehicle or mobile equipment between midnight and 10 a.m., and 7 p.m. to midnight on designated outdoor water use days, while using a handheld hose with a shutoff nozzle or a bucket.

Residential odd-numbered addresses can water on Wednesdays and Saturdays; even-numbered addresses can water on Thursdays and Sundays. Commercial addresses and multi-family addresses can water on Tuesdays and Fridays.
