AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- A boat parade supporting President Donald Trump was held on Lake Travis Saturday afternoon.
According to the event's Facebook page, more than 2,500 people said they would attend the event. "Let’s really make a statement!" the event’s Facebook page read.
Some boats reportedly sank or otherwise experienced distress during the event, according to the Travis County Sheriff's Office.
According to Austin-Travis County EMS, none of those involved sustained any injuries or experienced medical emergencies.
The parade was expected to get underway around 11:30 a.m. Saturday morning, with four parachute jumpers around noon. The parade was then set to move west along the lake to Point Venture, then turn around and head back to Emerald Point.
Similar parades have taken place across the country, including in Florida and California.
