
CEDAR PARK, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- Authorities are investigating the robbery of a postal carrier in Cedar Park Saturday morning.
Cedar Park Police say the incident happened in the 1900 block of Yaupon Trail, near New Hope Drive and U.S. 183 around 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Police say the victim said there were at least two suspects, with one identified as a younger Hispanic male standing approximately 5' 6" and clean-shaven. The suspect vehicle is described as a white four-door sedan.
CPPD is investigating the robbery in conjunction with the United States Postal Inspection Service. Robbery of a letter carrier is a federal offense punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Detective Anthony Bridgewater with the Cedar Park Police Department at 512-260-4886, or the USPIS hotline at 877-876-2455. A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals involved.
