AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Authorities are investigating a fatal crash on the city's west side Wednesday morning.
First responders were called to the 7600 block of RM 620, near the intersection with FM 2222, around 6:45 a.m. According to Austin Police, a vehicle was turning southbound onto 620 from an apartment complex along the highway, when it was struck by a vehicle heading northbound. The driver of the car attempting to turn onto 620 was ejected and run over, and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Several other vehicles were involved in secondary collisions behind the original crash.
Austin-Travis County EMS said a second patient was transported to Round Rock Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Expect traffic delays in the area as the investigation into the crash continues.
