Austin Police were called to the eastbound frontage road of U.S. 290 and Springdale Road just before 1:45 a.m. Monday.
According to APD, a call for service came from the 7300 block of Grand Canyon Drive a few minutes earlier. The victim's girlfriend is believed to have placed that call as well as a later call from the Springdale Road location.
