LEANDER, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- Authorities have given the all-clear in a Leander neighborhood which spent much of Monday morning and afternoon sheltering in place.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office first reported the investigation in the 2500 block of Kathleen Cove in Leander around 10 a.m. Monday. The Austin Police bomb squad was called to investigate the possible explosives. Homes nearby the incident were being evacuated as a precaution, officials said, before residents were told to merely shelter-in-place.

After an investigation, APD's bomb squad found components to make an explosive, which they spent about three hours removing from the home. Crews began to clear the scene shortly after 2:30 p.m.

WCSO officials say a suspect is in custody. According to officials, there was no danger to the general public.
