AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- The 2020 edition of Rodeo Austin has been canceled in the wake of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Officials made the announcement late Thursday.
"Canceling our event is extremely difficult for fans, volunteers, exhibitors, rodeo athletes, donors, contractors and everyone involved," Rodeo Austin officials wrote in a statement. "Since 1938, Rodeo Austin has been a mission with a rodeo that has brought heritage and entertainment to our community while raising millions for Texas kids."
Officials say a process for ticket refunds will be developed as soon as possible.
