SAN MARCOS, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- San Marcos Police are investigating a fatal shooting Saturday evening.
Police responded to the Redpoint Apartments at 650 River Road just after 6:45 p.m. Saturday. When officers arrived, they found 20-year old Ivoryana Ballard inside an apartment with apparent gunshot wounds. Ballard was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Investigators say 20-year old Steven Deshawn Crawford has been named as a suspect in the murder. An arrest warrant has been issued, and police say Crawford's current whereabouts are unknown.
Police say they believe the incident is isolated and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
