AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Slight rain chances will continue into Saturday as the Labor Day weekend gets underway, ahead of a strong cold front coming next week.
Saturday will see highs in the upper 80s, with chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms. Rain chances are at 50 percent.
Rain chances will fade tonight into Sunday, with lows dipping down into the lower 70s.
So far, for the month of September, just over 3 inches of rain have fallen at Camp Mabry, while Austin-Bergstrom International Airport has recorded nearly 4 inches of rain.
A mid-week cold front, expected to push through Central Texas on Wednesday morning, will bring another round of widespread rain chances, high temperatures in the 70s, and low temperatures Thursday morning into the upper 50s.
