AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Parts of Travis and Williamson County saw strong to possibly severe storms move through early on Easter Sunday, while the rest of the metro area saw very little in the way of storm activity.
Meteorologists had placed much of Central Texas under an "enhanced" risk for severe storms, including the possibility of long-track tornadoes - a forecast which has not been seen in the area since 2016.
Parts of the Hill Country had confirmed reports of at least two tornadoes as a storm moved from Gillespie County eastward into the metro area. That same storm continued to show signs of rotation as it moved eastward, prompting additional tornado warnings.
With the storms having moved through, sunshine will take over for Easter Sunday. Highs will reach the mid 80s, but gusty winds out of the west will remain, up to 40 miles per hour. A Wind Advisory is in effect from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.
