Showers, storms for much of Friday; drier Labor Day weekend

AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Showers and storms are moving through the Austin area Friday morning, and will continue for much of the day before we dry out for the Labor Day weekend.

Friday afternoon will see cloudy skies with a 50 percent chance of showers and storms. Highs will reach the mid 80s, although showers may keep temperatures into the upper 70s.


Tonight, clouds will continue with rain chances fading after midnight. Lows will fall into the lower 70s.

SATURDAY...Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 80s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
