(Talk1370.com) -- One of the nation's largest retail operators, Simon Property Group, is closing all of its retail properties across the country in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Officials say the closures, which includes Austin's Barton Creek Square Mall and Lakeline Mall, as well as Round Rock Premium Outlets and San Marcos Premium Outlets, will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening and run until March 29.
"The health and safety of our shoppers, retailers and employees is of paramount importance and we are taking this step to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our communities," said David Simon, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Simon.
