COLLEGE STATION, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- Texas A&M University is canceling classes early next week to allow for planning and logistics in the wake of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

The campus is currently closed for Spring Break through March 13.

Classes will now resume on Wednesday, March 18. Dining, transportation, and other services will be available on a normal schedule on Monday and Tuesday.

Officials say there are no plans to cancel classes outright. The university says it's not requiring courses to move to an online format at this time.

So far, there are no cases of COVID-19 reported at Texas A&M, and officials say no students are presenting any symptoms - including those who have returned from overseas travel to countries currently under Level 2 or Level 3 warnings.
