AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Travis County is up to 179 confirmed cases of COVID-19, officials announced Saturday.
It's an increase of 19 cases from Friday's total of 160.
On Friday, Travis County officials reported the first death of a resident due to COVID-19. Saturday, Williamson County officials reported the first death of one of their residents.
Much of the region continues under some form of a "Stay Home, Work Safe" order, prohibiting all but essential activities. Orders covering Travis and Williamson County, along with the City of Austin, are in effect until April 13.
