AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- If you're looking to register to vote for the upcoming July 14 runoff and special election in Travis County, look no further than your neighborhood Post Office.
Travis County Tax Assessor-Collector and voter registrar Bruce Elfant said his office, like many others, is having to adjust how they do business due to the coronavirus pandemic. "Our normal operation involved deploying our civic army of volunteer deputy registrars throughout the county so we could bring voter registration to you."
The deadline to register for the July 14 elections is June 15.
Prior to the pandemic, a record 93.5% of the county's eligible voters were registered to vote, Elfant said.
