AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Local health officials say 70 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Wednesday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Travis County to 1,946.
Austin Public Health says they identified an error causing them to over-report the number of deaths by one on Tuesday. A total of 57 individuals have died from COVID-19 in Travis County as of Wednesday evening.
617 of the confirmed cases are now considered to be recovered, an increase of 38 from Tuesday.
Across the five county area, 94 patients are currently hospitalized. 33 are in intensive care and 17 are on ventilators.
