TRAVIS COUNTY (Talk1370.com) -- Two people are dead following a crash involving a semi truck in southwest Travis County Tuesday morning.
First responders were called to the scene in the 12000 block of FM 1826 around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Two victims were pronounced deceased on the scene, including one who was pinned inside the vehicle, which first responders described as a Kia Optima.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the semi hit the driver's side of the Optima. The initial investigation shows the semi was traveling northbound when a vehicle attempted to make a left turn from a roadway, at a spot where left turns are prohibited.
The driver of semi was not injured in the crash, and is cooperating with investigators.
