WILLIAMSON COUNTY (Talk1370.com) -- A third person has died as a result of COVID-19 in Williamson County, officials announced Monday.
County health officials say a woman in her 60s died as a result of the disease. Four new positive cases were confirmed over the weekend, bringing the total to 81 cases.
"Every life is valuable to God and to our Williamson County. We are heartbroken," said Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell.
The newly confirmed cases are in Cedar Park, Round Rock, and Leander, with a fourth in smaller areas of the county including Liberty Hill, Jarrell, Taylor, and unincorporated areas.
34 of the 81 cases have recovered, officials said.
