WILLIAMSON COUNTY (Talk1370.com) -- Two additional patients have died from COVID-19 in Williamson County, officials announced Tuesday.

County Judge Bill Gravell announced at a Tuesday press conference that health officials had just learned that an eighth person had died, after a woman in her 60s became the seventh death.


"As joyful as I am that we are beginning to open up Williamson County at the end of this week, we are again reminded of the seriousness of this disease. Today, we lost another resident of our Williamson County. My prayers are with her family," said Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell.

Officials said there are 287 positive cases of COVID-19 in the county, 155 of which have recovered. 8 cases are currently hospitalized, with 3 in intensive care and 1 on a ventilator.
