Suzanne Somers has lost her battle with cancer.
The actress, best known her roles as Chrissy Snow on "Three's Company" and Carol Foster on "Step by Step," died Sunday morning, one day short of her 77th birthday, according to Page Six.
"Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th. She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years," publicist R. Couri Hay confirmed to Page Six. "Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family."
Hay added that Somers' family wants to "thank her millions of fans and followers who loved her dearly."
The family is holing a private burial later this week with a memorial to follow next month, according to Hay.
Somers had a nearly lifelong battle with cancer, according to Page Six. She first had two hyperplasia in her 20s, followed by skin cancer in her 30s and breast cancer in her 50s. She announced in July that the breast cancer had returned.
According to her website, Somers had "a multifaceted career that has spanned more than three decades, she has achieved extraordinary success as an actress, singer, comedienne, New York Times bestselling author, Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year, entrepreneur, and lecturer."
