It's National Dog Month. Although in most homes, it can be dog month every month. The love we have for our pets. They are a big part of the family. Family choices make a big difference in the well-being of all. All of our choices make a difference to the environment in which all live together.

Here are 10 eco-friendly things you can do as a pet owner. Big Green Love Win for all!

2. Sustainable Pet Foods - Look for whole-food ingredients / no fillers / artifical ingredients / flavor

3. DIY Treats - Make treats at home. Organic all naturall ingredients.

4 Support Local Pet Businesses - Supporting local helps the community economy and helps lower the carbon footprint

5. Environmentally Friendly Toys- Non-toxic pet toys made from sustainable and recyclable materials.

6. Non-Toxic Shampoo / Grooming Products - Go for natural pet shampoos made with castile soap, oatmeal, honey, aloe and other natural ingredients.

7. Spay and Neuter - Helps control the homeless pet population. Also helps protect their health.

8. Natural Cat Litter - Get ready for Cat Lovers Month in December. Think non-toxic. Go for natural cat litters made from corn, grain, pine, grass seed and other safe, renewable materials.

9. Compost Poop - Don't leave it on the ground or flush it. Don't use in edible gardens.

10. Biodegradable Waste Bags - Don't use plastic waste bags that sit in landfills, use biodegradable waste bags that can be composted.
