AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Amplify Austin passed the $100 million milestone this week, with the 11th annual edition of the event adding nearly $10 million to the total.
This year's Amplify Austin Day ran from 6 p.m. Wednesday until 6 p.m. Thursday, raising $9.9 million from 28,275 donors to benefit 701 non-profits across a seven county area.
Since the annual event started in 2013, donors have given a total of $102.7 million to the effort.

Among individual nonprofits receiving donations through the effort, the Central Texas Food Bank received the most - raising more than $370,000, while Austin Pets Alive! received the greatest number of donations.
“We’re thrilled that our incredibly generous communities came together to raise almost $10 million for nonprofit organizations,” said Courtney Manuel, CEO of I Live Here I Give Here. “This event has grown into one of the biggest days of the year in Central Texas, and we continue to be amazed by its impact.”
Last year, the effort raised more than $12.6 million from over 30,000 donors.
