AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- An 18-wheeler crash just north of downtown Austin is causing travel headaches Thursday morning, with a closure of the Interstate 35 lower deck.
According to Austin Police, an 18-wheeler hydroplaned and crashed into the median at the split between the upper and lower deck near Airport Boulevard around 5 a.m. Thursday morning.
Traffic is being diverted to the upper deck, but delays are stacking back into north Austin.
Crews expect the closure to remain for several hours while the 18-wheeler is cleaned up.
