AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Organizers of the Austin City Limits music festival say attendees will be required to provide either a negative COVID-19 test or proof of COVID-19 vaccination in order to attend this year's event.
The negative test will need to be obtained within 72 hours of attending the festival, organizers said.
In addition to the test/vaccine requirement, organizers are also asking attendees to agree to a "ACL Festival Fan Health Pledge." The pledge asks attendees to not attend the festival if they have tested positive or been exposed to someone who has tested positive within 14 days, or who have experienced COVID-19 symptoms within 48 hours, or traveled to any international territory identified by federal, state, or local governments as being subject to travel advisories for COVID-19.
Festival officials say updated procedures, including potential mask requirements, will be released closer to the October 1 date.
