AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Authorities are investigating after a person was found deceased following a fire at a homeless encampment in north Austin Sunday night.
Austin Fire officials say its Engine 21 responded to an outdoor fire in the 8300 block of North MoPac around 11:40 p.m. Sunday night.
AFD says a joint investigation between its investigators and the Austin Police Department homicide unit is underway. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
An official cause of death is pending an autopsy by the Travis County Medical Examiner's office.
