(Talk1370.com) -- Austin Police say they've made two arrests in connection with a January shooting at Lakeline Mall. That and more in your Morning Headlines for April 10.

Lakeline Mall Shooting Arrests: Austin Police say they’ve made two arrests in connection with a shooting at Lakeline Mall in January. 20-year old Yaneth Medina and an unidentified juvenile suspect were arrested; Medina is facing a third-degree felony charge of tampering with evidence, while the juvenile has been charged with aggravated assault and one count of deadly conduct. One person was injured in the incident, which prompted a significant law enforcement response. Police had said the shooting happened after a dispute between two separate groups.

TdA Deportations Blocked Again: A federal judge in Texas has temporarily blocked the deportation of three Venezuelan men under the Alien Enemies Act - that’s the 18th century law the Trump administration is using to justify its fight against alleged Tren de Aragua gang members. Judge Fernando Rodriguez Jr. in Brownsville issued that order in a case brought by the American Civil Liberties Union; the new court battle comes just days after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Trump administration could restart those deportation efforts, but that legal challenges needed to be heard in the venues where detainees are being held. A similar ruling was issued Wednesday afternoon in a New York court for two other detainees.

House Tables Motion To Vacate Speaker: An effort to remove Texas House Speaker Dustin Burrows failed Wednesday. State Rep. Brian Harrison filed that resolution seeking to vacate the chair - a rare case of a Republican seeking to remove another Republican from office. Harrison says Burrows has betrayed the state’s voters and isn’t conservative enough to remain in power; a motion to table the resolution passed overwhelmingly with 141 votes in favor. Only two lawmakers voted in favor of keeping the resolution alive; after the vote, several Republican members called the stunt a waste of the chamber’s time.

24/7 Weather Forecast: Another sunny and warm day on tap for your Thursday... high of 92 ahead of a dry cold front moving through the area. That'll help lower temperatures slightly headed into the weekend - mid 80s Friday and Saturday before we start warming up again.
