
AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Another arctic blast is set to move through the Austin area later Tuesday evening, dropping temperatures below freezing by Wednesday morning and bringing a return to winter cold for much of the week.

The front itself will start to push through the metro later this afternoon towards sunset, bringing gusty north winds that will continue throughout the night. We'll see wind chill values drop into the lower to mid teens by Wednesday morning, with actual air temperatures falling into the mid 20s.
Wednesday night into Thursday morning, temperatures will fall into the teens, with Austin forecast to fall to 19 degrees. Wind chill values will be dangerously low, with single digits across much of the area.
Afternoon highs on Wednesday and Thursday are expected to reach into the 30s. Thursday night, increasing clouds will keep overnight lows in the upper 20s across the area.
Forecast models are hinting at a chance of freezing rain possible Friday night into Saturday morning, when lows are expected to be in the upper 20s to around 30 degrees. Saturday afternoon, we'll warm into the 40s and stay above freezing for the rest of the 7-day forecast.
