AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Beginning this week, Austin Public Health says it will open up COVID-19 vaccine scheduling to those who are 40 or older.
An appointment window Monday night from 6pm-10pm will allow those who fall into the state's priority groups - including 1A, 1B, 1C, and childcare providers and educators - as well as those 40 and older to schedule an appointment to receive the vaccine.
If additional appointments are available this week, an additional scheduling window will be held on Thursday from 6pm-10pm.
Only those who have pre-registered with Austin Public Health will be able to get into the scheduling system. Everyone is encouraged to pre-register online at www.AustinTexas.gov/COVID19-Vaccines.
For those waiting on a second dose from Austin Public Health, those appointments are now being scheduled 3-5 days in advance of the 28 day mark.
If you're more than 28 days past your first dose from APH, and you don't yet have a second dose appointment, you can walk up to any APH vaccine site and present your vaccination card to receive your second dose. If you have an appointment, you'll be asked to arrive for your scheduled appointment.
