AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Authorities spent part of Friday afternoon investigating two separate incidents at two Austin ISD schools, following reports of "armed subjects" on the campuses.
AISD Police Chief Ashley Gonzalez said the campuses of Murchison Middle School and Northeast Early College High School were placed on "secure" Friday afternoon while officers worked to investigate the reports, which first came in before the 2 p.m. hour.
Gonzalez said the campuses were cleared just after 2:30 p.m.
Both campuses have been deemed safe and released from SECURE. Both schools resuming normal activities.

According to Gonzalez, there was no evidence the two events were related.
