Austin airport sees traffic increase in November; still roughly a third of pre-virus levels

AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- On average, passenger traffic at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport continues to be about a third of its pre-pandemic levels, according to the latest data released Friday by airport officials.

For the month of November 2020, passenger traffic was down 65% compared to November 2019, with 509,400 passengers flying during the month. For the year through November, more than 5.95 million passengers moved through ABIA, down 62.6% from the same period in 2019.

Air cargo operations for the month were up 26.9%, with more than 22 million pounds of cargo moving through the airport. For the year through November, cargo traffic is up 17%.
