AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Authorities are searching the area after an Austin ISD police officer was shot at Northeast Early College High School Tuesday morning.
AISD officials say the incident, which is being described as an altercation in the campus parking lot, happened around 10:45 a.m. Tuesday.
The high school was placed on lockdown, officials said.
Austin-Travis County EMS said one adult patient was transported from the scene with non-life-threatening injuries. A social media post from CLEAT, the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas, said the officer was in stable condition.
AISD officials say students will be able to be reunited with students around 2 p.m. at the Delco Center at 4601 Pecan Brook Drive. Parents should stay in their cars and bring a form of photo identification.
