AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Austin Mayor Kirk Watson has tested positive for COVID, according to a statement from his office Saturday.
Watson, who is fully vaccinated and boosted, will isolate at home per CDC protocols. According to the statement, this is the first time Watson has tested positive for COVID.
Watson will continue to receive briefings about the ongoing storm recovery and will aim to preside remotely over next week's City Council meeting and work session, according to the statement.
