AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- The Austin Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting on the city's northeast side Wednesday morning.
The incident happened in the 800 block of Camino La Costa, just southeast of Interstate 35 and St. John's Avenue.

Residents in the area had been asked to shelter in place, according to APD. That order was lifted shortly after 9 a.m., when officials said a suspect had been taken into custody.
APD confirmed via social media that SWAT officers had been deployed to the scene.
