AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- At its Tuesday work session, the Austin City Council got its first chance to see a list of sites that city staff has been vetting for possibly using as temporary homeless encampments.
As a part of the city's response to re-enacting a public camping ban, council members tasked City Manager Spencer Cronk and staff to come up with at least one site in each of the 10 council districts.
According to a memo released on Friday, city staff reviewed more than 70 city-owned properties to see how they stacked up against certain criteria. The 45 sites under consideration include:
