Cooler, isolated showers Thursday as wet pattern builds in

(Talk1370.com) -- Temperatures will be about 20 degrees cooler Thursday across Central Texas as a rainy weather pattern sets up.

Thursday afternoon will see highs reach into the upper 50s, with a high of 60 forecast for Austin. A 20 percent chance of an isolated shower is possible.


Lows will fall into the mid 40s by Friday morning, with showers likely and an isolated thunderstorm or two possible.

Here's a look at the extended forecast:

FRIDAY...Cloudy. A 20 percent chance of showers in the morning. Highs in the lower 60s. North winds 5 to 10 mph.

FRIDAY NIGHT...Mostly cloudy. Lows in the lower 50s. Southeast winds 5 mph.

SATURDAY...Warmer, cloudy. Slight chance of showers in the morning, then a chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 70s. Southeast winds 5 mph becoming south 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 30 percent.

SATURDAY NIGHT...Cloudy. Slight chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the lower 60s. Chance of rain 20 percent.

SUNDAY...Cloudy. Chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms in the morning, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 70s. Chance of rain 40 percent.

SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY...Cooler. Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the lower 50s. Highs in the upper 50s.
