AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- A crash on Interstate 35 Friday night in south Austin left two people dead, officials said.
Austin-Travis County EMS reported the crash just after 8:45 p.m. Friday night, on the southbound lanes of Interstate 35 between William Cannon Drive and Slaughter Lane.
According to Austin Police, two adults were pronounced deceased on the scene. They were both occupants of a Ford F150 pickup truck.
Traffic was being detoured to the frontage road while crews continued to investigate and clear the scene.
