AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- After months of community engagement and planning, Austin City Manager Spencer Cronk will present his budget proposal for the city's 2021-22 fiscal year this Friday.

Friday's presentation is set for 2 p.m. at the Community First! Village Unity Hall in East Austin. Austin Mayor Steve Adler and members of the City Council are expected to attend; the presentation will also be broadcast live on ATXN, the city's cable channel.

The budget presentation will set off a month-long schedule of meetings, work sessions, and City Council input, before a final vote on the budget and tax rate sometime between August 11 and 13.

Two community input meetings are scheduled for July 22 and July 29, and individual council members will also be scheduling individual town halls with their council districts over the next few weeks.

The city's 2021-22 fiscal year begins on October 1.
