AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Police are investigating an apparent shooting on the city's southeast side early Thursday morning - the 87th homicide of the year in the city of Austin.
Austin Police say just after midnight Thursday morning, they received several 911 calls from the Santora Villas Apartments in the 1700 block of Frontier Valley Drive, near East Riverside Drive and Ben White Boulevard. The callers reported hearing several gunshots.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man with critical injuries in the parking lot. Emergency crews attempted to save the man's life, but he was pronounced deceased on the scene.
So far, police say there is no suspect identified or in custody.
