AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Early voting is now underway for the May 2 municipal elections.
Various races are on the ballot in individual jurisdictions, including mayoral races in Cedar Park, Round Rock, and Elgin, city council races in Cedar Park and Elgin as well as Hutto and Georgetown, and a number of other races in various jurisdictions across the area.
Polling locations will NOT be open on Tuesday, April 21, due to a state holiday, but will resume on Wednesday. The early voting period runs through Tuesday, April 28 with election day set for Saturday, May 2.
If any races have more than two candidates and one fails to obtain more than 50 percent of the vote, a runoff election will be held on June 12.
