AUSTIN (Talk1370.com/NewsRadio 1080 KRLD) -- Five months after his death, the family of Longhorns linebacker Jake Ehlinger confirms it was drug related.
Thursday, the Ehlinger family released a statement saying his death was an accidental overdose of what was believed to be Xanax laced with toxic drugs including deadly Fentanyl.
In early May, Ehlinger's body was found in a home a few blocks from UT's Austin campus.
Ehlinger was the younger brother of former Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger who was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts a week before his brother's death.
