GEORGETOWN, Texas (Talk1370.com) -- A Georgetown Police officer and his wife are facing charges after officials investigated a sexual relationship they allegedly had with a 17-year old girl.
28-year old Samuel Tejeda, as well as his wife Ashley Tejeda, turned themselves in to the Williamson County Jail Wednesday morning, facing second-degree felony charges of "sexual performance by a child."

Officials said they learned of the Tejedas' involvement with the child on January 26. The next day, Tejeda was placed on administrative leave from the police department.
Two days later, authorities executed a search of the Tejedas' home, with arrest warrants being issued on Tuesday. According to investigators, Tejeda knew the girl in a personal capacity and the alleged criminal conduct did not happen while Tejeda was serving in an official capacity as an officer.
According to the city, Tejeda has been with the Georgetown Police Department since March of 2018.
